Great story, never read about it before, I have a Guardian Bell on my bike as a friend gave me one when I first got this bike, and have given a few away, about to get another for a new rider friend who's learning atm, seems I need to hang one off my camera, lol
Ok didn't get a bell for the camera but like the old biker I thru some old batteries at it and seemed to have scared off the gremlins, lol
When this thread was started I looked at the different types of bells available and thought that because of what they are companies can charge what they like, I thought the prices were a little high. So I looked at what else was available and found these www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pet-Small-Bell-Key-Chains-Zinc-Metal-Key-Rings-Keyfob-Decorations-Couples-Gifts-/161341730277?ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:AU:3160 I ordered one to see how it looks as it's hard to tell from the pictures and description. the real item is not always what it looks like in the photos. I received it today, the bell itself is 48mm (not 5.3) from the top of the ring to the bottom of the bell and is metal, looks exactly as the picture, it will do the job nicely, I am now in contact with the seller who tells me he can do it cheaper, in a 12 piece buy. If people are interested it might be something for the SRA shop?
The idea of 'gifting' is where paying it forward came from.... as you give so shall you recieve. It may a symbol such as a bell, it may be a gesture such as going ot f my way to meet or help a friend. One thing I love about this forum is 'Gifting or paying it forward) is shown every day in so many ways.
george: welcome to the SRA forum wally.
