Hey all
Finally had a break in the rubbish weather recently for the opportunity to get a couple of photos of me and my shadow ;D
My 2010, VT400 - only had it 1 week, since Monday 18th June 2012. It has a biggish scuff mark on the top exhaust (looks like someone used steelo to clean/polish it) 3 very very little dings on the R side of the tank, both mirrors are scratched & scuffed and the R handle grip is broken on its end. Lastly, it has been for sale at the local bike ship since Dec 2011. The previous owner traded it in on a bigger cruiser and I guess because of it's poor cosmetic condition and fact that the bike shop had trouble moving it on I got it for a bargain price.
Bike deal came with a New Rjays strikerII helmet, DriRider ApexII wet weather Jacket & matching DriRider Nordic wet weather pants, DriRider wet weather overall pants, DriRider Boots, DriRider gloves and 6mth rego.
The bike actually failed its roadworthy because the rear tyre was NOT roadworthy (it was not bad but still unroad worthy)...SO I scored a new rear tyre in the deal. All up...I'm happy with the deal I got
After a lot of TLC & polishing the bike looks superb: ;D
New heated grips on order will fix the broken R grip
New V&H pipes will fix the scuffed exhaust and SOUND better
Removed the rear pillion seat to clean up the rear lines of the bike plus I'm a learner so can only carry a pillion passenger if that person has held a motorcycle licence for at least 3 years and is riding pillion in order to instruct you
Bike checked out by bike service shop that a friend runs and bike got the thumbs up as in excellent mechanical order
Gear shifter pedal adjusted up 7mm and NO more missed gear changes
Ok, enough of the speal .. here we are, Pete & his VT400
Oh, my forum avatar is a Star wars storm trooper (Episode 4 - A New Hope..the first episode played at the movies in 1977) because I also belong the the Star Wars 501st garrison and we dress up in Star Wars costumes and do hospital visits and charity visits to help brighten up sick kids days. Sick kids ( and adults :-) love visits from Darth Vader & his Storm Troopers.
I'm a Storm Trooper but my costume cost nearly as much as this bike although, my Star wars outfit is made my the very same bloke & company that made the originals for the 1977 movie. I'm an official Star Wars Storm Trooper and my Storm Trooper number is TK5563
