Hey WA Riders .Was reading through the last AAR mag and they have done a couple of nice features of rides over there .Sounds and looks good . Tell me those names of towns over there are they Aboriginal names ,they seem interesting to say the least. Wouldn,t mind knowing the background on what they mean Cheers Ray

Hi Ray,
Many of the town here in WA end in the siffix 'up" which is aboriginal for place. on't normally buy ARR, but if yo post up a couple of names, My road book has the aborigina lmeaning for them.

Ta mate. Balingaup.Nannup,Dandalup,Dwellingup,Yallingup.Manjimup. Interesting i thought . Then there is the Nambung National Park and the town of Cervantes. That would be french or something wouldnt it. Lancelin is also interesting ,sound like something to do with Camelot and King Arthur. ;D ;D ;D See that posted a lot in your rides . Cheers Ray

Yeah Lancelin is really close only 100km from joondalup ( 135km from perth CBD) but we can do it in 167 going the nice way. Also has the best pub manager in the world and has great ocean views
