Hi all
I'm going to attemp to Carbon Fibre my fuel tank this coming weekend.
I'm also going to wrap my Vance & Hines in black exhaust 3mm / 50mm Black exhaust tape/wrap for the "old skool look"
My question is the tank removal? I've only got the 'freebie' VT750 online manual however, it is for Carby Shadows so shows a "fuel tap" to turn off.
What do I need to 'turn off' to stop fuel flow or is it simply a matter of emptying the fuel tank. Emptying the fuel tank seems long winded although, I'll need to empty it to Carbon Fibre it. I'm thinking it will be easier to empty the tank off the bike rather than on the bike?? Can I turn fuel off somewhere, then take the tank off to empty it??
Lastly, is there a VT750 - Shadow workshop manual that covers Fuel injected models?
Cheers, Peter

Answer to your question on the manual is yes and why they dont have one in every bike just stupifies me . (Mmmm is that a word ), There is a manual to download in one of the post eg Bike talk . Will try to find it for you . Did you make sure the manual isnt on the top of the battery, thats were they store them. Anyhow usually you dissconnect the hose under the left side of the tank to drain it. Then the usaual ,take off the seat by undoing the 2 bolts either side at the rear of riders seat , Then undo the bolt holding down the tank at the rear . Once the tank is drained enough just slide it off the front mounts. There is another hose at he back as well but it is an overflow. Ok found the one Scrap had put up but there is another few there as well just scroll down in the Bike Talk below this thread and you will see the posts. www.classiccycles.org/1852/3722.htmlCheers Ray
