Hi Pete.
Was looking at your bike pics. Was really keen on those bags you chose. One question though and correct me if it sounds stupid. I blame the fact I am new to bikes.
Those pipes you have are short shots ? Do the heated gasses coming out affect the plastic of the case. Or painted finish if one is applied. I understand while moving the gases are in the breeze, but while sitting still or idling.
Reason I am asking is I am trying to plan my course of action to bags as I am wanting the hard bag option myself as I hate having a back pack on and sissy bars seam an object for me to kick as I mount (sat on a colleagues 750 with one fitted).
If heat is an issue would something else, like maybe the longshots or similar be a better option. I personally don't like the look of the longer pipes, however with bags fitted and these riding underneath I am picturing a more balanced look. I am not saying this for your bike, just throwing some ideas out for opinions for my steed.

Mate i reckon a few here will say the V&H Cruzers are the bees knees . The short shots are pretty loud . But then again so are the cruzers but a bit more mellow . Here,s the diff between staock and cruzers . Cheers Ray

I fitted V&H Cruzers and they sound awesome. Not too load as to attract the authorities but load enough to give a warning to motorists. and they look good!!! ride safe
