Sounds like you need a bigger jet, when I had my 750 I brought a Dyno kit and it came with different size jet for different mods, Pipes only, Pipes & K&n filter etc.

Hi Steve i have just put one on my vt750c4 aero here are the instruction that came with mine, once i installed it i then had it dyno-tuned to get the air/fuel set up spot on runs really well, 10% torque and power increase in each gear hope this is of some help. instructions link below. video easier to follow. Q. Are you using stock needle as my hypercharger kit didn't have one in it, but as like shane i re-jetted carb with a dyno-kit when i put on V&H pipes and K&N filter which you get supplied with another needle you have to use, my main jet size is 140 . i had my carb dyno-tuned because as instructions state when adj air/fuel it's just a starting point/or guess work. www.cruisercustomizing.com/installguides/KY-9432.pdfthere is also a video on utube in about 5 steps on how to install, its on a vt750 spirit. cheers, spinal

When I rejeted first time I used the dynojet kit main jet 144 and the needle in slot 2. (V&H Pipes, baffles made high flow, k&n filter(hyper chargers have similar air flow), snorkel removed) I found that mine was running rough at higher revs also. I thought is was starving for fuel so I adjusted the float level (raised it about 2-3 mm) this helped a little but I was still not satisfied. I then re rejeted and put the 140 in (what the dynojet kit instructions recommended originally ) and put the needle in slot 3 (without modifying the plastic bit at the bottom of the diaphragm that is as high as you can go). This made a huge difference, the bike is more responsive & smooth all the way through and I even managed to squeeze an extra 10kph out of her on top end (once). Maybe you are getting too much fuel and you are running too rich? Do you have to use the choke and let it warm up for ages? (in cold weather) is it popping on deceleration? Have you got high flow baffles in the V&H pipes? (they may be restricting air flow)(there is such a thing as too much back pressure) Hope this helps mate.
