Nice bike ;D When I first read your post I thought you said he dropped it when first took it for a lap. Then I read it again and saw where he had "dropped in". Much better. I have read on some of the other forums that once you ride another bike that's better in performance, you want one. Ah well...... David.

the Vtx is a much heavier bike than the Harley but idles at 100k,very solid on highway, though due to a worn front tyre was tracking ,power to spare,im 70kg and the bike doesnt know im there, reviews said had low clearance but still taking it fairly carefully around roundabouts ATM,but overall a very nice cruiser,a little heavy compared to other bikes of same cc but great for highway cruising and the weight is just a matter of getting used to it,would reccommend bike for riders with at least intermediate experience,a big bike with more than enough power

the VTX has a problem with steering wobble under decellaration, they all do it,but so do many other larger cruisers including v stars, fixes suggested were cone shaped dampers to just dont let go of bars as you can only feel it with loose grip, and Honda says dont worry about it,mine has had everything done to front end and tyre but still does it,they do it from new and isnt a wear problem, info on net vtx steering wobble problem

What if you try those beads the Yanks use .They reckon it takes all wobbles out. Do you know iff your head bearings have been done i thought i felt a bit of loosness in the steering like mine had before i had them looked at .? Soooooo are ya keeping it or not mate. How was the fuel consuption mate ? Cheers Ray

The old 750 use to do it.

i was thinking of selling it Ray but to get what? Not a major issue now i know common issue most owners ignore ,before thought could be safety issue, fuel consumption roughly $8/100k,wobbles only about 20/30 k not at speed
