Hay Ab ... Have fun j/k it's not that hard, I do tend to take longer to do these things than most people, so if I did it in 3 hours it'll likely take ya about half an hour

Thanks for that info spinaltap, I was wondering why a 35w and if I hadn't asked I would have gone with the 55w. I'll pop this in the classroom tonight when I get on the puter. I do have one more question, when I was pulling out the standard bulb the plug was was an extremely tight fit and while struggling with it I split the rubber dust cover that is around the plug, so it went into my little bag of left over bits. I'm thinking now that I might have to try to put it back on not just for dust protection but I wonder if it also insulates the wires from the heat a bit. What did you guys do? Nah I didn't even swear that much Ray, the dog didn't even run away .. and Cray helped me find the stupid little dress thingy once ... That might have been to try to avert a tirade tho [/quote Anna i split mine in half [dust cover] so i just took it off as when you put the new H.I.D Lamp in it seem pretty much instillated anyway, has been in two years now no probs. if you want to get a new one here is a link, www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/hon/5053fac6f870021c54be9820/headlightcheers, spinal.

Split mine when i swapped normal bulbs out . Asked the mech at the local and he said it,s only there to stop water ,condensation getting into the bulb housing and shorting out the bulb . Unlikely he said ,probable but unlikely. Makes sense hey . Cheers Ray

Cool Ant, you'll really enjoy putting this kit together And well done Shane. It really isn't that hard to do for much better visability, I haven't had the chance to test it out riding at night but I lit up my back yard last night when I tried it. Plus that brighter light is also going to be more visible to other road users .. anything to give you the edge is good in my books Ta for the answers Spinal and Ray. Getting a bit late for me tonight but I'll put together a post for the Classroom with a bit of added stuff .. ta for that Spinal

Nice, Got mine, got it installed (tight fit in there) only problem is the gap between where high and low beam sits is quite considerable. SOOOOOO much Brighter than standard though. Even if the high beam is pointing up the trees a little (might find a drop "bear").

Just installed the HID Kit. Very quick easy job. What a hyooooge difference. I can actually see at night now haha. Thanks to the OP and those that posted pics of the way they installed, was a huge help. This forum and its residents have been invaluable.
Next is the handgrips and jet kit.

Yeah mate ,did mine a while ago now and did a run after dark the other weekend . Certainly better than staock . I actually had tilted my light bucket up to improve the old std light and it is now to high for high beam .So i must lower it again . Yes there is a fair difference in beams but i reckon by adjusting the bucket you will get it right . Cant believe how all the road signs illuminate way before you get there . Must have some range. Cheers Ray
