thanks for sharing that Sheepdog. Yep they look good, nah I'll go cheap when I can, I've just been burnt by doing that in the past so I'm cautious. My HID kit was a tad cheaper but not much, $89 I think ..
I do like the light bar, kinda a muscle look .. very cool!!

I have spent upwards of 5 grand on Mods and extras for my bike in last five years of owning it? why? because I love this bike and only want to enhance its capabilities? love to find great deals and pass them on. my HID headlight cost $AU25 delivered 6K 35 watt.( and have spare set-up in my shed) and has been on bike for last two years. I do a lot of night-riding as I do perm night-shift. good deals are fine ,great deals are even better? I do have a link for the light-bar that fits most cruisers etc for a better price than I got it for(mine cost $AU49 del)anyone interested, please PM (I am in no way connected to the seller,i am only passing on,from my experience of nutting out and finding good reliable gear for bikes.

Awesome job Sheepdog, thanks for sharing your finds bit late for me but I'm sure others will find it very useful and next time I'm looking for something new I'll pm you first There's nothing like experience is there in everything you do, sometimes ya gotta learn by doing and yep I've been ripped off at times, but still I'm happy enough I've only had a bike for a couple of years and I'm slowly learning .. still wobbly in a lot of ways. On a side note finally took the bike out for a night ride tonight (yep braved the cold but it wasn't a long ride!) the HID lights are awesome. The lightbar is, well .. it adds a little bit of extra light but really not that noticable on the highway, I'm thinking I may have not really gotten my moneys worth for them though I do love the look of them, so in the respect of the pure sexiness they are great, as far as extra light goes, I probably wouldn't buy them again. That being said Cray said that my indicators are much more noticable now so there's a bonus. I also have a loose wire somewhere that I have to fix (or pinched as one light goes out when I turn the handlebars too far) so joy of joys .. I have to fiddle with the wiring again Oh well it's all learning eh

Thanks for the post Anna.....while the "Minister of War" (AKA Cathy) already has a light bar on her bike...there is no relay....still on the to do list....but it is a must as the contacts in the starter switch have burnt out. I'll just have to take my laptop out to the bike so I can check out the step by step piccies!!! Brian. PS..I see I was a bit slow in putting up the post in the other thread about the led light bar....they are as dear as.

Yeah I dont know why but I'm shying away from LED, plus I really wanted to replace the standard indicators since I'd done the back ones when they rusted out ... so it was a bit of a case of needing one with indicators as well. Hope this helps with your relay installation, just make sure you use a testing light or know that your wire that you connect to is connected to your ignition eh

If you are installing anew horn, lights, blinkers, HIDs etc please .oh please use a relay.it just makes common sense? Why ? Because all bike manufacturers only give enough power to run the bike I standard mode (no added extras) most ex tras require more power.

As a bit of an update on this one.. I've had the light bar on for a whiel now, it's great .. the lights aren't as bright as the HID but they spread wider so they do help an awful lot when you are on a dark street at night. But this particualar bar has to be fitted with the spacers that come with it. They make the bar sit about an inch or so from the tree, I didn't find any issues with it until I noticed a clunking sound whenever I went into my driveway. My driveway is one of those stupid rounded curbs that aren't really a driveway, so I thought it was my suspension and got that checked out before the triip. Nope not the suspension, then it did it again on a rough driveway while I was away. When I got off the bike I finally realised what it was .. yep the lightbar is hitting the top of my guard if I go too fast over something too bumpy. Since I worked it out I go even slower over those kinds of bumps and hasn't done it since (really getting my practice in at slow speed balance tricks sheesh) but it has already made a mark on my guard that I'm not happy about. I am thinking of a fix, my solution so far is to make the spacers shorter, just need to check that isn't going to get to cause different issues first. Anyway just thought I'd let ya's know
