Take 2: Date: Sunday 24th November Meet: The usual McDonalds Corner Ranford Road and Nicholson Road Canning Vale (Livingstone Shopping Centre) Time: 9:00 for 9:30 departure ( half an hour earlier) Run: Canning Vale, Serpentine, Mornington Road (Morning Coffee break at the Witches Wookie Road House) to Collie, Lowden, Dardanup, Brunswick Junction, Harvey for late lunch or afternoon tea. Through to Serpentine again I'll be turning off down Karnup Road and going back through Mundijong which takes the back road to Thomas Road. We are looking at about 450ks for this run. Note lunch at Harvey will cost about $20.00 for a steak sandwich and coffee and it's cash only. Or we can have lunch at Macca's Collie (Half the price and nice coffee) and stop into the Harvey Venue for aftennoon tea break ($4.00 for coffee.. cash) I am happy either way. As per other note hope some of the Crew can make it. Gotta get out and brush off those mental cobwebs. Best Grey Shadow

I'll put up a tentative maybe at present mate , there's still rain forecast for Sunday and 450k's in the rain really just sounds like three days of riding to work and back in the wet. If the met boys are wrong ..they quite often are , it may be I'll see you at Maccas. Cheers Trog

Hi again Greyshadow, Looks like the Wildcats have a game on Sunday , they need some fireworks done and I need the money , so I'll have to dip out on the ride this time . I really hope someone turns up for your ride , or heaven forbid actually posts to let you know their intentions so that at least if no one's coming you dont waste your time waiting at the meet point again . Cheers Trog

Hey Greyshadow, I'm going to make an effort to do this ride with you but all depends on whether I have a hangover or legover in the morning ;-). I'll most likely be heading down from Merriwa. Can you pm me your number so I can confirm with you in the morning.

Hi Ray, Yeh had a great day riding even if it was in the rain for much of the morning. the afternoon fined up a bit, pitty about the weather as it really was beautifull country side, but when the roads are wet your concentration is on the road ahead etc. Was only Roughy and myself was a good long ride about 450ks enjoyed the ride and Roughies company. Best Greyshadow:)

Yep, another great route from Greyshadow. I clocked up 525km that day with sections of sunshine, drizzle, rain then more sunshine - kinda reminded me of Melbourne, but warmer.
Massive turnout of SRA members too. I lost count but I reckon there were at least two - just awesome! We even had a bike that wasn't a Shadow. I of course took my usual posi of tail end Charlie. Due to the large group size we employed rolling corner marking. Although this turned out to be a bit of a challenge as the corner marker had to keep an eye out for the TEC so the CM can move on. CM & TEC then had to play catch up with the ride leader once too many times so corner marking was abandoned at about turn 3 (Maccas carpark exit).
Thanks again Greyshadow for your company and choice of country roads. No doubt about it my fellow SRA members, Greyshadow is a good router.
Ride safe boys and girls.
