Spoke to my Honda dealer again this afternoon (whilst picking up my black beauty!) and he said he'd find the OEM ones, and charge me cost. We'll see.

Kevin, they can be called all of those things from different manufacturers .. dont forget if you are looking for things for your 400 then you can also get things that fit the VT750 Aero (American) or VT750C 2009 up Highway bars and engine guards tend to be the most used terms cause I think we riders are a superstitious lot and calling something a 'crash' bar is too much of a jinx I'll call 'em crash guards cos when you've seen the vids of headons and legs being pinned under bikes after a drop.......... All the armour I can get is all I need...... want ot enjoy a ride tomorrow too......

When it comes to safety, don't skimp on price! Get the best at the best price but don't settle for cheap replicas.

Ask Annastasia where she got her bars from, I had a look at them at the AGM and they look very sturdy. They bolt to the bike frame and not the radiator bolt, which seems to be a hell of a lot better and stronger. I think they are Paladin bars and i agree with Shane they look a lot stronger than the ones that bolt to the radiator. In the event of a drop the pressure is taken by the frame and not the radiator. Ride safe I bought Pams, from somewhee cant remember, Z Power I think, they were the Paladin style, bolt to Frame, saved us a few $ already due to me slipping when moving the bikes. Dont look if you have extended your forward controls Ive 6" extensions and cant find any that are legal. Ray thinks there is a pair for me out there but cant find them yet

The yanks changed the name because of litigation. Call them crash bars and some lawyer will try to sue the manufacturer when they failed to save a rider from death or injury during a crash.
