Being arf deef in one ear and blind in 'tother, I have bought a new blinker unit with a built in beeper.
It's been once too often that I have forgotten to turn the blinkers off (C.R.A.F.T. setting in) and had a close shave with someone turning in front of me
but being arf deef ...... (see above) if I turn my blinkers on, I can't even hear the unit clicking to track it down.
I did try this arvo, but my neighbour caught me at it and thought I'd lost it and was doing a strange ritual rubbing my ear all over the bike, like a cat after a good rub down, he did say that he half expected me to start making love to it, so he called out, to save me the embarrassment
Please, to save me from the men with the white coats, can anyone tell me where the unit is situated on a vt400
Thanks in anticipation

I can hear my "Flasher Unit" with the IGN on and engine OFF, but there is no way you'r ever going to hear anything with the engine started and your helmet on! I just make a regular practice of cancelling after turning, and checking the indicator light to make sure it is cancelled.

Or get ya missus on the back to repetitively say "'Hey honey your blinkin still". Or the usual whack on the helmet trick .

Even with the engine off, my helmet off the headlight taken off, and my hand on the unit, I couldn't hear it, felt it go click, click, click , but as I said before I'm arf deef in one ear and blind in 'tother, I'm not even sure if I'll hear the beepers, might have to go for a bullhorn connected to the blinkers
