Looking for a sissy bar for my 2001 VT400 so my son can be a little more comfy while riding. Anyone recommend any? Or any to stay away from? Anyone fit one themself? Easy? So many questions lol

I have one for sale .. pm if your interested. Not sure if it will fit your bike though, mine was a 2011 and that's what it came off .. I have a horrible feeling that it doesn't fit your model.

That's a good horrible feeling Annastasia. I think the 2001 model brackets are like an ace bracket. Other words curved rail brackets, not straight like yours. Could be wrong. Cheers Ray

Ok so now that I've hijacked this thread, should give you some answers eh Ben. Easy to fit, yeah. Just either have a friend to hold things up when you take the bolts out, or do like I do, and just undo one side at a time, it's a pain to line up otherwise. Cant really recomend any in particular, from what I've seen they are pretty much the same. Try ebay. Then you could look at some of the sites listed in this thread hondashadowriders.proboards.com/thread/119/interesting-web-linksHonestly they all really hold I think a max of 10kg on the rack (I could be wrong there it's happened before I think .. once) It's just a matter of finding the one that looks like you want it to look, and has the price you want it to have. Good luck with it
