Actually I counter steer nearly all the time on my VTX?? Az it has a low clearance and drags pegs easily? ? By counter steering it actually corners with less lean angle and quicker thru corners? ??

I don't really know if it's something that can or should be taught. You just do it without even knowing. It's not like you're approaching a corner and you think "hmm, I think I will counter steer in this corner instead of my normal steering action". It just happens, you go around a right hand bend and press back against the right grip. No thought, no pre-determination, it's just a natural thing to do. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth for today.

With both of you there . Yes i know if i dont want to scrap my pegs i counter steer. Definatley the way to do some decent cornering ,mostly when i,m by myself though or trying to catch a BOULEY. I said trying . Yes Clarry i think if it,s something you naturaly used to doing it comes naturally . But i tend only to do it in real tight corners . Like laying over the bike . Just not wearing out the boards. Oh yeah did i say i need new ones .

This is a small section of a Training Video called Twist Of The Wrist by Keith Code, I actually burned a copy 2 days ago as part of a package of 4 learning DVD's for a friend who is learning atm, can it be taught and should it be taught, hmmmmmmmmm, thankful none of my family or friends are being taught by you Clarry, as a self taught rider I rode very badly for many a year till I got told about counter steering, I still ride badly but make a conscious effort every time I go out to practice practice practice the good points I have learned from the Ride On dvd and others, in an effort to undo all those years of bad riding.
