Excellent work there fellas, stuff like this is helpful to the members who are new to the bike scene and may look at modifying their ride as beyond their skill level and it helps them to personalise their rides, once again cheers fellas.

Thanks boys. I liked the vid, you are both funny buggers to learn from and now I absolutely 100% want to change both seat and pipes on my VT400. Something I could do myself now thanks to your instructional. I love youtube for practical stuff. Changed the starter motor on my Honda accord a few weeks ago, all by myself after watching a 23 min video on my exact car model. I think its fantastic you go to the effort of recording this type of stuff for us wannabe mechanics. Its doable and saves money! Plus the bonus added pride in doing it yourself is a plus! cheers. Oh and I like the look of the size of your pillion seat. I think my kids would love the wider bum saver. Let me know if its a noticeable difference hey. Oh and the best place to get these bits too!

Hi guys
Re bike 2011 honda shadow v t 400 Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this. I have just had some cobra straight shots fitted and dyno tested. But the bike is backfiring and popping a little when I rang the guys in the dyno shop they said that there is no command unit ( I think) for that model so the bike will pop and backfire a little. Also they only strapped the o2 sensors behind the side panel and said that makes the computer think she bike is in cruise mode
Any info would help based in sydney

My V&H pipes has the O2 sensor in them like standard. Hopefully one of the riders with a 400 will be able to help.

PS check your plugs they will tell you how it's running,[to rich/lean] if it's back firing a would say to rich, hence put on K&n filter let in more air. or you could get the o2 censors welded into the pipes, using threaded lugs for them to screw into. hope this helps. cheers, spinal.

A command modules number 5should be the one you want or s Cobra 2000 module .Look up in google. Definately agree with Dpinal on all said . Sounds to me they didn't put on the 02 eliminator just plugs into your sensor .That is what fools the computer not hiding them behind the cover . Sounds a bit dodgy mechanic sorry to say There is a vid here somewhere showing the difference of before and after install the eliminators .Was on an 09.Steve Coes bike Cheers Ray
