Rickster here, NSW member of hunter area, well I think im a member.... not that I get any updates or information... apparently we have a new nsw co-ordinator ? only reason I know that is a NON-member let me know..... wasn't it said by the president that - " The co-ordinator’s role is to inform everyone of the ride or event, and ensure the rides are posted on the forum, regardless of which part of NSW the ride or event is happening and try and get as many of us together to share that friendship and the enjoyment SRA brings us". apparently not.... well not everyone anyhow....
I know people will shout that I should be checking the forum myself and chasing up details re any rides and information etc... but to be honest, I find the forum very non-user friendly in comparison to facebook pages etc... but that's just my preference, hence why I don't come here much.....
No dramas, guess i'll join the ever growing number of members who become non active due to lack of satisfaction.... que sera sera :-)

Hi Rickster. I am not sure what may have happened, but as well as posting on the forum I sent out an email to ALL NSW SRA riders on 25/08/2014 advising of the fact that Ian (Flea) has volunteered as co state co-ordinator for NSW, together with Tony (Bluedog). On checking I see that it was sent to you as part of the group email. Please accept my apologies if you did not receive the email, but unless you may have recently changed your email address, I can't really see why you would not have received it. Regards George

I don't have any problem with finding out whats going on, I just visit the forum and Facebook from time to time and I know exactly whats going on, no trouble for me, I don't leave it up to someone else to inform me of what's happening. Be a bit proactive Ricksta.

I'm with Steve unfortunately I never got an email, and yes this forum page is confusing. Must ask the question then Karen. What's the confusing aspect.? Please let us know, so it can be explained and or sorted for you and other members, not just NSW but all states. Do you an just that thread about the ride or the way the forum works . I, m not to computer savvy, well not at all, just ask the better half. But I don't have too much of a problem with it. So please let your state Co-ordinator know or contact George our president. He, ll be only too willing to help I, m sure. Cheers Ray

Exactly what Ray said .. plus, if you aren't getting emails (there aren't a lot for which I'm thankful, there's no need to email about rides, that's what the forum is for) then I would suggest you pm or email George your correct email address. The email re: the new state coord is pretty old now and may be buried deep or even in your junk and deleted by now. As Ian said, it is not the coordinators job to organise rides if you wanna go for a ride then post it up, see if someone wants to come along with you. Personally I don't post many rides because I don't get to ride often anymore (yes I bought a brand new bike for the spiders to live in .. gotta wash my bike) but when I can I'll post it up see if anyone wants to meet up .. bit hard when you live miles from everyone else but I've managed to meet a few members that way even if I haven't ridden with them all. You don't even have to be proactive really .. it's not hard to post a new post saying that you are going for a ride. That said, the main reason that I am a member of this forum is for the forum, there's a great bunch of people here, some have become good friends. That's what a forum is about .. talking about a certain topic of interest. Ok I wonder if the confusing bit is all the stickys on the nsw board. Personally I find that a bit confusing so just ignore them. I would suggest if you aren't going to use them Ian then maybe you can unsticky them and tidy the introduction to the nsw section a bit. I'm talking about all the ones for the different sections of nsw for rides ... At least I think that's what they are about
