Hi,
Could someone tell me what type of battery I can use for my bike ?
I have looked up some types. YTZ14S and YTZ12S. 14 is better than the 12 ? more Amps or something. When i took my seat off I found I had a VT9-BS.
What are the better brands and what are the ones to stay away from.
cheers
Ed

I don't have any answers. But the tank bag on the back rest is working a treat. Thanks for the idea.

The original in mine was a YTZ10S and I replaced it with same, yes there are good brands but you'll pay through the nose for it, like $200+ for the YUASA, that's what it cost me through work (with a discount) Never again, I'll get the cheaper ones from now on

Thanks Spinal, Will give ebay a go. At that price.
I did put it on the charger and it is holding up but may be time for a replacement.

A trickle charger is great mate . Especially if you don't get out much . About $40. Just plug it in when not riding . Good for an older bat.

All Shadow rider's should change to a Lithium Iron Battery, Half the size, 1/4 the weight & 3 time's the cranking amp's, I'm so glad I fitted one to my 1100C2 A.C.E
