Happy to report I have met the Yanks touring Tassie had a great couple of days showing them the world class bike roads in Tassie and having a great time chatting to the guys who have traveled all over the world. If anyone has a chance to meet up I recommend it and have a great ride.

Had a great time with Ian from Hobart area. He and George are super ambassadors for Australian bikers. Ian came halfway to meet us, took us to his boss's workshop to change oil and filters. had us over to a delicious tea that his wife Cheryl made, showed us some good riding roads and finally accompanied us halfway up the e coast. We spent the night at Beaumaris in a hotel overlooking the beach. Perfect weather and day. Yesterday rode through 3 rain forests which are aptly named and did a lot of windy up and down roads which were great even loaded down as we are. Ferry today which was a bummer but looking forward to the Ocean Road ride tomorrow. Thanks again Ian, hope you do make it over some day so we can return the hospitality.
Forgot to mention he took us up to the top of Mt Wellington for the night view, pretty incredible especially since we didn't have to look through smog to see it.
