Hoping someone has some suggestion for this. Being only just 5'1" I am adjusting to the bigger bike, can reach the ground ok albeit on the balls of my feet, but the issue I have is that the position of the gear lever and the rear brake pedal are too far forward. The bike does already have floor boards fitted so I am sure his partially helps, but I feel that if I were able to either buy or have modified these two things that not only would riding be more comfortable but also possibly safer. Ideas anyone? Sorry if this has been discussed before, I couldn't see it . Spider

Hi Spider68, The gear lever can be moved up or down by ajusting the linkage rod or if more is required have the foot rest bracket modded and moved back, The brake pedal can have a longer pad attached too the existing small pad, bring it more too your reach,Cheers

It would be Quite easy to have a steel brake plate choped off a car brake peddle and Mig spot welded on too your small brake pad and put the rubber pad off the car on it.Or have a metal worker cut a bit of steel plate to size to suit a rubber car brake pad.Would take a Tradie 10 minutes .

You can also have the original brake and shift pedals modified to suit. Once modified to the length you want, drill and tap what's left so as to fit an after-market foot pad. hondashadowriders.proboards.com/thread/4298/update-on-rideThis link shows what I mean. I did not shorten my pedals, but modified so I could match my grips, pegs and foot pads. Nothing says you could not shorten as well. Going this way will require you to re-chrome the piece, or just sand blast and use some rust proof spray paint. I went with the paint (4 coats of satin black- White Knight rust guard epoxy enamel). Came up a treat and lasts real well. No chips or wear to date. I was surprised considering how close to road and grit it was.
