I just heard on the news that Victoria have passed lane filtering, which comes in affect as from the 2/11/15, but you can only lane filter at a speed up to 40ks and any thing over could be a $400 fine.

Currently being trialled in Canberra - restrictions are - No Ps or Ls - rider must have full licence. Heavy vehicles not allowed to be filtered (trucks and busses must block the filtering media?) No 40K mentioned here - lane filtering allowed in stationary or slow moving traffic- to help ease congestion - in my opinion any traffic going slower than me is slow moving - 'spose the courts will sort that one out - hopefully not with me...

Its all on Vic Roads web site, speed to be no more than 30 km/h.
