G'day all, I is Krab-E. My current 'cycle is a VT400- stock as a rock, for now. My 1st question for the brains trust is about cylinders - are they lined (steel/iron) or Nikasiled?

Hi Krabbie, welcome to the site. I remember from my time on the mighty 400 after doing the same research that the 400 motor is the 750 motor that has been sleeved to reduce the capacity down. In the process adding about 12 kgs to the overall weight. I know what you are thinking you are wanting to get more power out of her we all went through that, but best advice is to save your coin and do your time on lams and upgrade to the 750 in 12 months. Hi Krabbeeeee, welcome Have to agree with Azza, I thought I would stick to the 400 for a few years but ended up just going with a bigger bike sooner rather than later. Spent a lot of money on the 400 and while I'm not sorry it would have been better in the long run to wait and spend it on the bigger keeper. Enjoy your ride while you have her

G'day and welcome I've got an 09 400 and have had it for 5 years and she's done 63000km Sometimes it would be nice to have the extra power but then I wouldn't enjoy the scenery as much I may one day get a bigger bike
