Very unhappy with normal rear shocks on 2009 vt750 , tried all settings but still feel every bump . Thought about shocks with the nitrogen cylinder for better settings & comfort , anyone tried these before ?

I have the nitro shocks on the back. Not really any better than the originals, though my set are longer to raise the back a little as I have fork extensions on the front.

Oh ! I thought with all the adjustment on them they would be more comfortable.

Well nitrogen filled piggy back shockers on & after a few tweaks are much better than original. Now for the next project - I'm after a pair of down pipes to fit a 2008 shadow as i dont want to cut my good ones up , anyone out there have any ??

My 96 VT1100 has back breaking shocks too.... cant seem to find any reasonably priced aftermarket shocks anywhere. Searching by bike model as I am not sure they can mixed by other bike brands or even later models. Only ones that seem to come up are Progressive and YSS. Any direction would be greatly appreciated Cheers

I found a better seat helped more than shocks. If you're running a standard seat, bin it!

Then tweak them for your comfort.

Gday All.
I'm a noob. I have a 2005 Aero with Airhawk and sheepskin (thanks George!). However after a punishing backroads run from Port Macquarie to QLD and back I bought a set of JBS shocks. 220mm piggybacks. I think they are about the best $140 I have ever spent. I can certainly navigate the many bumpy shitty corners in my area with greater confidence, comfort and safety. Ripper!
All the best, Bern.
