Sunstate Su from Sunstate riders has forwarded this to me and I would like to open it for discussion and comment for an event for July. This will not replace Ray's planning for his July ride but will be used as an alternative for those who are unable to participate in Ray's Ride (you can do both if you want).

I hope this is still the best contact for Sunstate Riders.
I was going to contact you to request assistance in helping to promote our event - the 7th Annual Red Ride for Life on Saturday 14th July - but having had a quick look at your website, I am stoked to see it has already been highlighted as an upcoming ride for your members. Thank you so much for supporting us in this way!
I would love to take this opportunity to provide you some more information on the event that you can hopefully continue promoting for us online, via your website, social media or email newsletter, and encourage your network to join us? I have also attached a copy of our poster if you wanted to create an a link to this online or send via email. I can also send additional posters to your club office – but would need an address?
ABOUT
Hosted by Merlo Coffee and Club Red (a community arm of Australian Red Cross Blood Society), this event is designed for the motorcyclists of South East Queensland (which is why I thought it would be perfect for your constituent). It’s a free event aimed at raising blood donations and awareness of the vital community service the Australian Red Cross Blood Service provides – a service which at some point, 1 in 3 of us will need.
The Sunstate Riders network are invited to join us for a complimentary sausage sizzle, delicious cups of fresh Merlo coffee and then join the convoy to Springwood Blood Donor Centre where there will be displays, food and music to keep you entertained before the sleeves are rolled up! Every blood donation saves 3 lives.
We have also expanded the event to include a blood collection van at Bowen Hills for those who aren’t riding but want to donate … and for those who ARE riding, we have been able to secure a longer, more scenic route to Springwood Blood Donor Centre via the Gateway Motorway and past the Chandler surrounds, thanks to the kind support of Queensland Motorways.
Details as follows:
Date: Sat 14 July, 2012
Time: 8:30am for a 9:30am start
Venue: Merlo Coffee, 10 Thompson St, Bowen Hills QLD 4006
Register: www.merlo.com.au
Members can register online now at www.merlo.com.au – and if you can’t donate blood, we’d still love you to join us. Multiple registrations can be sent to me directly with each person’s name, address, email, mobile number, and bike rego number (for tolls).
So … give the wheels a spin, enjoy a complimentary breakfast, donate blood, and enjoy the ride – all for a great cause!
If you need any further information, or I can assist you in any way, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We hope you can rally the troops and join us in a ride to remember!
Cheers,
Greta Mewing
