The Crayfish and I went for a little ride on Friday. Off to Forbes to meet up with someone who didnt turn up ... sooo what to do ... oooh yeah, visit The Dish! Bout 30k's back up the road and we were at the famous Parkes Radio Telescope. You could see if for miles over the treetops. We even found a spot to legally stop and take pics along the road into it. When you get up close you realise just how huge this thing is ... And how complicated ... All in all it was a great day out, perfect weather, even if there were a lot of clouds around and it was a touch cold. Still it had so many moments of grandure and as we headed home into the sunset and towards the rain we were both feeling pretty good

Yeah it was I forgot to mention too, the dish has a nice cafe, we didnt try the food just coffee and cake but the food other people were eating looked great, and the coffee and cake was delish!! Would be a great place to stop for lunch instead of Parkes or Forbes if you are on a trip.

Good on you guys Its sure nice down your way! ;D ;D That's an awsome pic you got there chrisso, would that have been taken in the morning ...eeew .. nice tho Yeah it's bush, t'was built in a local farm paddock, and I found it interesting to find out the name of the guy who sold them the paddock was named Australia (cause he was born on Australia day of course) ;D And yep it's looking great out here at the moment, all that rain I've been whining bout has to be good for something eh. Hey Ray it wasnt other riders we were meeting, a client of Terry's who didnt turn up, his loss ... my gain I'm not sure bout the stats of the dish ... would love to know that myself, I might check and see if I can find those stats somewhere later.
