Well the new clutch kit is in and makes a huge difference, gear change is smooth & drops into neural like brand new, needs a bit more effort to pull clutch in due to Barnett springs a bit longer While I was there I did the 4 deg mod, easy enough to do and does seem to be a bit smoother on the short test ride I did Cost $180 for clutch kit from USA inc post, $12 for silastic and a couple of hours. Plus Oil & Filter $25 Now just need to find some time and nice weather for a ride.

Great job! Putting the Barnett springs in is something I would like to do as well. Just holding off untill the I feel the clutch eventually needs looking at.

The clutch is great, the jury is still out on the 4 deg mod, only riding to work which is only 15min each way,. Seems a bit rough when cold but ok when warm, Mid range power is better also don't know if its me but the bike sounds different, a flatter deeper sound if that makes any sense

looking at it I moved it to the left ( pushed up ) as in the pic's. If it was retarded it would struggle to start and rev out ? Like I said once warm it's ok. Once I go for a good ride I will know more. Thank for your input Moe but can you explain what you mean by Flame me I'm old ;D ;D ;D

Hi shane,basically"mind your own business"
If you ever had an old magneto, kickstart bike with a manual A/R lever, its retard for easier starting and more pulling power(going uphill),advance for economy and speed. Was necessary knowledge for my generation,Lol,usually the only way to get up some hills

Ha Ha Ha your right mate, this what being part of a club is all about, never to old to learn. I've had a couple of old points bikes but that's about as old as I go. thank god for electronic ignition.

put a set off DPR8EA plugs in and made a huge difference, I'm much happier with it now.
