The question would be do they meet australian standards, my guess is they probably don't Hi grasshopper, i emailed the store to make sure they pass Aust/NZ standards they are, DOT approved, otherwise i would not have bought one. BUT--there is always a BUT, will no 4 sure when it arrives what you get told and what you receive from overseas can be 2 diff things LOL. cheers, spinal.

I might be wrong but DOT is USA approval but no good for our Aussie heads, Australian standards have a label inside and one outside. That's why we pay so much more a helmet here than the same thing O/S they need to cover the cost of the testing here. Same goes for the visor.

Without AS/NZS 1698:2006 sticker attached, it'd be illegal in Vic. I'm sorry to say that Highway Patrol members would have no hesitation in issuing tickets.

Yep , and reading the beautifullly researched article as posted by Scrap , so is every helmet in existence... so why worry? I'll just keep wearing what Ive got until its not servicable anymore , then I'll look into buying something else ..hopefully by then the laws will be sorted out and it wont be a matter of opinion what is OK for use and what isnt... If I get booked for a non compliant helmet , I'll use that article and a lawyer to fight the ticket..thats the best anyone can do. Trog
