Right got meself a brand spanking new GoPro Hero2 the other day .. yeah I know the hero3 just hit the market but the 2 was in the shop and I could take it home there and then.
I've had a bit of a fiddle with it but I'm having trouble with the sound ... as in there is none .. zero .. zilch. Tis starting to annoy me a tad, I've checked a few forums and the Q & A thingy at GoPro which suggest it's because it's not compatible with Window Vista but the only suggested fix I could see was to get the Windows update that came out a couple of years ago ... yeah yeah .. I cant find anything current that's useful.
So I was wondering if anyone here has any thoughts. ...
oh I'm just using the Window Moviemaker to edit for the time being til I work out whether I will be bothered doing more with it, it does have a thingy on there to turn up the sound on the Video so I turned it up and still naught.

perhaps upload one of the smaller raw files to youtube and see if the youtube video ends up with sound. if it does then its your computer. if not then its not recording sound.

Ok I want to see a disco duck on a trailer video ... that just sounds too facintating for words!!
I had a bit of a fiddle with the program today Louie and it looks pretty good, fairly easy to use and not as clunky and dodgey as Windows freebie Moviemaker. I'm just tossing up whether to get the corel movie editor when I get paintshop pro (which I've been wanting to do for ages and spending me money on the shadow instead) Have you used Corel Louie?

I had a quick look at the trailer vid last night....should be able to do something with the footage, ( duck inclusive ).... on a joy-ace note am still unable to get this trailer rego-ed ... stupid licensing mob being over pedantic...thankfully for the movement certs I have at least been able to get a feel for toeing the trailer behind the bike as I do what is required ( u would think a trailer would be easy ) ... but anyway I should be only a step or two away from rego...at least I have plenty of time as my cab is in getting security upgrades...what a week louie

I dont think a trailer would be easy .. i really dont .. I hate having the saddlebags on these days. I think I need a bobber.
Anyways hope you get some joy getting the trailer rego'd, is it because you got it from overseas that they are having issues?
Cant wait to disco with the duck.

Cant wait to disco with the duck. toeing the trailer is easier than you would think, you just have to made small adjustments to your riding style, no biggy... with regards saddle bags, just do what I do ... take them off for the every day & chuck 'em on for the bush runs ( real handy when bush ;D )... the trailer issue is just the rig maraul dealing with bureaucrats ( I need lots of reflectors apparently, & a few other bits and pieces )... regards the video I sauced the song "disco Duck", placed a bit of footage with rear facing view in the corner,( like a car mirror ), moved the "duck" about and wrote captions to show u what can be done & I'm still very much a novice ...so If I can do it any one can... this time I did a low resolution vid, but you can change the settings to 480p to improve it a bit... www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GdGPZPxRv4&feature=youtu.belouie
