Some of you may recall that I took part in the first RSPCA (Qld) Ruff Riders 500 in June of this year. Some members even made donations to my team.
This is a 500km ride starting from the RSPCA at Wacol. With only 2 weeks of fundraising my pillion and I were able to raise $1800.
I have been given a heads up for the 2013 ride. March 24 has been earmarked as the day for the ride and again Craig Lowndes will be riding with us.
I will post details as they come to hand in the new year. I hope we may be able to get a good sized group together to do this ride while raising funds for the RSPCA.

I hope they change the way they run it I think in these times asking $80.00 registration and be required to raise $250.00 before you can join in is fairly rude, but we have had this discussion before

Guys I am unsure of the costs for next year at the moment. This year the $80 registration was for each bike and included a long sleeve shirt, cap, cooked breakfast, tea, coffee and juice as well as lunch and soft drinks and we received a cd with all photos taken from the day. As for the $250 before taking part in the ride, we can form a team or two which brings down the amount per rider but if we register early enough we could easily raise those funds - I did with less than 2 weeks of fundraising.

MRC, that would be a fantastic start.
Ray, that is what we go this year. Not sure what the fundraising executive have planned for next year though. I will be meeting with one of them next week for something to do with work so I will start to check things out and keep you all posted.
