Decided to buy highway foot pegs for my trip to WA. To fit on my crash bars. I am confused about what I have seen on ebay. Is the diameter measured around the bar or not. Mine is approx 13mm. Can anyone recommend a supplier or product? Maybe I should start a new thread? Cheers

Just measure straight across them ,Put a ruler across the top and look down . Usually one of the 2 . Hope this helps . Cheers Ray

Thanks Ray, it will happen one day, but not just yet. I have a new problem now. Seems when I ordered new tyres I should have asked for tubes also (according to my manual). Wish Honda had asked or suggested this to me :-(

Depends on how long they have been in there . I havent swapped mine out after 4yrs but will on the next set . Must admit i was going to on the last change before Christmas and forgot . It,s something you dont realize . Just check first though iff you do have some in there . Some people dont have them in and go tubeless seeing as the Shadow has spoke rims . Ask your dealer or a tye fitter about it . Grats for a long journey coming up ,best of british luck for the ride. There is a few members over there so make yourself known .They will help you if you need it ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Cheers Ray

So I am thinking they are not too old. I am always worrying about bike stuff. The more I read, the more things I learn can go wrong. I have top tier insurance, for peace of mind. Now I have to find the peace of mind! Thinking maybe later I should start a new thread re my progress on The Trip in case anyone is curious re my progress? "Azure'sTrip to W.A.", what you think? Just post now and then with a few updates?

Gee Ray, that is a tall order. You don't want much, eh? :-) I am using a Samsung tablet. (and it is a pain in the butt to type on) and it is a tad tricky to do all that. Maybe if I had your email I could do a few updates. If I were to take my laptop it would be different, but I'm not. Too big, heavy and bulky. And it could get wet, so will just take the tablet. I will be camping so doing it a tad tough/rough. :-) Aren't the membership badges great? I just received mine. Will wear it with pride.
