I just used the Airhawk2 cushion to dubbo and back and never had aproblemon my back, it was magic.. But keep in mind some don't like the movement of the bubbles, I weigh 70 kilos and it is perfect..

Ive had lambs wool & Airhawk covers and didn't like either. After a months use I recommend a Saddlemen Seat, took a while to get use to it but the Dubbo trip was great, NO pain PS don't buy a Jack Daniel seat ;D ;D ;D

Hahaha shane .. I was going to say I know where he could get a cheap Jack Daniel's seat Some people have had thier stock seat customised, Ray on here I think. I've also known a woman who had her stock Sportster seat customised to suit her .. she loves it and has done some long trips on it with ease.

I have a mustang which got ditched after 400 km's,done 3 major rides on the standard seat with sheepskin,no probs, and I'm about 100kilos,my son got a sheepskin for our Broome ride, and is a convert now,but it's better to try before you buy. I have a $434.00 ornament in a box!

I have an Air Hawk 2 and find that it is fine. The "bottom" line is (excuse the pun) that if you sit in the same position for a lengthy period, it will be "sore". It's a matter which overall feels better and provides the best cushioning. Not having tried all the possibilities i can't give an informed answer but logic tells me that they will all "hurt" to a degree, it then becomes to what degree.
I suppose the other answer is to eat more easter eggs and end up with more natural padding to butt.

i beleive there could be an opening here for someone to make biker underwear with gel in the bum for padding, something that isnt too thick. but not visible, they would be more comfotable, maybe we need to think outside the square here ,

Tonimbuk I have plenty of extra rear end padding but still get a sore butt. Anyway my 10c worth is this: I have found that wearing good motorbike pants helps alot compared to wearing jeans etc. don't know that there's much extra padding but more support which seems to help.

Thanks for all the input guys, I have adjusted my riding position by moving my bars a bit further forward which sits me up more and transferred the weight from tail bone to more on the backs of the legs. Still only riding an hour and a bit each way but so far so good. Still keen to try that gel pad Ray will grab it off you on the April run if that sweet still. Will also get a sheep skin for a bit more comfort.

Comfortable but not as much as the mustang i think . Does set you higher however. Check out my link here; hondashadowriders.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=info&action=display&thread=2123
