Rang four different stores for a rear tyre for my VTX, The cheapest was a Dunlop at $280 if I removed the wheel or $310 if I take the bike. Next was a Pirelli at $340 Highest was a Metzler at $360 all included fitting. The stores were Peter Stevens, Pablo's, A1, Honda Dealer (dearest) & Evolution Yamaha (cheapest)
Then I rang MMMTS a Pirelli fitted & Balanced if I take the wheel off $240. takes a week to get the tyre but at $100 saving I will wait.

Pays to make some calls and shop around hey. That's cheap for a fitted rear I reckon.

my new Tyre has arrived so I go out to the shed to pull the wheel off and guess what , it's as flat as a tack. My first puncher on a road bike and the timing could not be better, so I will drop it off tomorrow to get a shinny new black thing fitted then I can go about destroying it ;D ;D ;D

Got my new Dunlops on today "D404 type" these were the originals tyres on the 2010 VT400 - got 19000 ks out of them and reckon I could have pushed them for another few thousand ks. Good tight tyre and handles really well..
Front $130 fitted (120/90 - 17") Rear $170 fitted (160/80 - 15")
not many of the dealers stock them, but they can still order them in..

They seem to be a lot cheaper in Qld, the cheapest rear I could get was a Dunlop rear at $280 fitted 180/70/16 from a dealer. The Pirelli I'm getting at $240 fitted the bloke works from home or mobile.
