Scraping my footboards usually doesn't worry me, but I was coming down Mt Mee (Qld) recently, where I came into contact with one of those bitumen folds in the road around a sharp bend. Felt the shock of it through the whole bike, thought we were goners, even the guy in front of us sat up... No damage, but scared the crap out of my wife and I! So I reason it would take quite a bit to send a bike skating down the road, as footboards and pegs do move up out of the way...

Too true to a degree i think Kon. Have had similar problem like that . Think it bottoms out where the actual peg mount is . Have a bad hump like that at the top of my estate. Always have to watch my lean there . Cheers Ray

Does fitting a 4" forward control kit lift the pegs up at all?

Does fitting a 4" forward control kit lift the pegs up at all? Have done that AB and thought it would stop the scraping, but no mate it doesn't. Your still in the same horizontal line so it's the same. Welcome to try my ride out if your thinking of doing the extension. That and floorboards mate is relaxing. Cheers Ray
