Today we had out first ride and say hi, where we headed to Bendigo. Shane 289, Saddo and myself met in Epping and then headed toward Bendigo, via Romsey and Lancefield. The day started a bit cold but with blue skies. By the time we got to Lancefield it was grey, bloody freezing and the fog was so thick it was like riding through pea soup. We Arrived in Heathcote where we caught up with new member Darren from Rushworth. After greetings and handshakes we headed to Bendigo where we stopped near the iconic Shamrock Hotel Bendigo is also famous for it's quaint old trams. After lunch we rode through Lake Eppalock where we stopped at the spillway. We then returned to Heathcote where we said goodbye to Darren, then headed back home to Melbourne. We got to the small town of Kilmore before hitting pea soup again. Damn it was cold and foggy. By the time we got to the outskirts of Melbourne, the blue sky reappeared but I'm not so sure it was any warmer. Although it was a bit cool (I've made so many typo's because my fingers are still frozen) it was a great ride and great to meet a new member.
