Well stage 3 kicks off. Zombie and myself. I have been promoted from tail end charlie to point (hmm hope I remember the way). The intrepid duo prepare to set off through the Southern Highlands. The roads are great. The season for tar snakes? Entering the highland suburbs. Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong. Still the roads and views are great. The freeway back to Sydney. However a country road beckons yet again. We veer off towards Picton. Main street of Picton. Right towards home, left to where ever. Decisions decisions. Right it was, towards home. Coming up Razorback Mountain. To be greeted with a view of the Sydney Basin. Unfortunately at this time the GoPro decided to give up the ghost. We continued into Camden and had a short stop at Narellan for a burger and a stretch. From there we made a slight detour to a small winery I know. Grabbed a bottle or two of something I am fond of Then continued on along the Northern Road to Penrith. From here we jumped on another freeway until we parted company a short time later to head to our respective homes. All in all it was a great day. We started at 0730am, finished about 3.30pm. We covered about 350kms +. We experienced many a fine road, fantastic weather, fabulous friendship and fine food (Louie- pies can be fine food, don't be put off by the others). I for one hope all involved and reading enjoyed our day. I am personally already looking forward to the next. Hope we can get more to join as well.

Well done Gonzo and thank you for the fabulous pics, fantastic. It was a great day with superb weather and the Robertson Pie is a welcome retreat. I did have a problem when we first left Heathcote on the 100km stretch to Waterfall, I didn't realise that there were 2 bikes with "P" plates. So back to 90 clicks for the rest of the trip. Here's a couple of pic firstly with myself, Owen and Zombie, second pic is Gonzo Owen and Zombie.

Yeah BDR ya can ride thru the zoo ... Johnboy and his wife did it while they were here for the meet in march but .. that was one bike. I think they would be ok with one or two bikes but I don't know about a group. I'd ring them first. The other thing is that to see it even half properly you need one full day, to see it really properly you need two. You can go in and have lunch or coffee at the coffee shop there without going into the zoo, which is what we did for the shadow meet ... You can see the lemur islands from there .. we parked the bikes in the furthest carpark then tho cause I wasn't sure how the noise would carry. I don't like upsetting the animals see

The noise, especially on mine was one thing I was considering too. Still one of those golf carts look like my cup of tea.

Give them a ring if ya wanna know for sure. Those carts are pretty good tho, we hired one once .. expensive tho if I remember correctly. Or you could just walk if your feeling fit, the circuit is only 5 km long but there are side tracks that add to that .. I reckon you would do about 10 k's if ya walked.

great pics & commentary there gonzo.. yes pies can be fine food, providing they have sauce & a choc milk to down it with Louie.
