Hi Pete. Have you converted the Jack Daniels seat into the Captains Chair?? Ride Safe Hahaha, I sold the JD seat on eBay about a week after returning from the Dubbo AGM and to be truthful was glad to see it gone. Have the stock seat on the bike and I've never felt better :-)

Hi all, The JD seat has gone to a new home via eBay :-) and I'm not sorry to see it gone, looked great but quite literally a pain in the ass. Hey, Brenda... How's the White Shadow going. Got my boat painted today after spending the best part of a month filling every single hole with epoxy filler and then sanding down for a smooth finish, painted the 2 part primer last week and finally painted the 2 part Gloss top coat today. Not very happy with the finish so will sand it down with prob 300 wet&dry and apply another coat of gloss... ah, the trials and tribulations of boat ownership :-) The boat with her primed undercoat- waiting for a fine day, humidity under 65% so I can start painting the gloss top coat Took every single fitting off, replaced every single fitting with new (cost me a small fortune but good to know... everything is new and strong) and then filled every single hole with epoxy resin and filler. I'll re-drill new fitting holes into the epoxy filler to create a stronger mechanical seam and because some of the new items are considerably different in design size to the old er 1980 fittings some fitting required completely new locations. Glad I replaced fittings as this is the Port (Left) side chainplate & shroud bolt (holds up the mast). I think my first sail would have ended in disaster had I not discovered this. My Brand spanking NEW 2013, Honda 5hp 4 stroke outboard motor... I've now got the trifecta, A Honda Car, Motorbike and Outboard, I'm guessing I like Honda's On a more personal note, I've separated from my Partner of 4 years. I've decided to call it quits 2 weeks ago simply because I no longer loved her (but I'll not go into that online) so have a lot on my plate at the moment (yes, this is hidden in this posting purely, because it's easier). Booked a cruise as a surprise for my self and my partner on P & O's Pacific Jewel for Jan 2014 but now that I'm newly single, I'm taking the cruise by myself. I hadn't told her about the cruise because it was going to be a Christmas present (Tax refund paid for it), however I see no need to tell her now...so I'll enjoy the queen side bed and balcony views myself...hey, and you never know, I might meet someone on the cruie although, I'm not going to look as I'm happy with my single life. I actually worked on an ocean liner for a year in 1988 (selling duty free on board the Cruise liner TSS-Fairstar way back in 1988). Cruised to Fiji, Vila, Mystery Island, Vanuatu and was lucky enough to cruise to Singapore and Japan when the ship dry docked. My absolute favourite cruise destination was the Isle of Pines...I just loved that place and hope to actually sail a boat there one day. I've always promised myself a cruise because after working on a cruise liner for 12 months I wanted to experience what it would be like as a passenger. It was a bit hard drinking with passengers until 2am to get up at 8am for work in the dutyfree shop only to see those I was drinking with sleep in and get up at lunch time....so now it's my turn to drink until 2am...and then sleep in :-) Lastly, still heading over for the Vic AGM and still handing out SRA cards, only 2 :-( thus, Shadows seem to be few are far between. I'm going on the MRA Tas, Toyrun December 7th, so hopefully a few more cards to hand out. Cheers, Pete

Something to get you in the mood Pete. This is the Jewel docking at Sydney a few years ago. I used to be the Cruise Day Site Controller at several Sydney passenger ship terminals. The Jewel was one ship I used to work with.
