Hello fellow shadow riders. Meet and Bleet on 3rd Sunday in February being the 16th. This one to be hosted by southern group. IE we will ride to south to the venue. Can anyone from the Mandurah area suggest a good spot Scrap? Kane? Somewhere Easy to find, good seating, parking not too far away and most importantly, good coffee. Soooo... Venue and time to be advised. Keep watching this forum for updates. Just a reminder Toggy has posted a ride on this forum for those who didn't notice. Sounds like a good ride Troggy. Take care and stay safe people.

Hi George and Shadow Riders Crew, Re the Meet and Bleet, how about this meet at the usual Southern Ride meet place McDonalds Canning Vale cnr Nicholson Road and Ranford Road at 9:15 for a 9:30 departure on the 16th and then head of to the meet and Bleet Destination of Cafe on the Dam at Serpentine Dam that gives us about a 45 minute ride to the Dam Cafe and then there is a nice short ride out via the back way to Albany Highway and back to Armadale. I'll be there. If Cliff and his GM of HD are still in town maybe we could pick them up and have them join us?

Hi Shadow Riders, I went for a ride today and re did a run I have posted previously it is the Mandurah, Waroona, Boddington run about 330 km's from Canning Vale to Canning Vale. I am very happy to turn this meet and bleet into a meet and bleet Run (why not)? we could have a sausage sizzle Lunch (bring buns and sausages etc) )I can bring paper plates, onions, hot dog rolls, oil etc. The sausage sizzle BBQ would be at Boddington same lovely spot as last time. What ya reckon crew BBQ Meet and Bleet Combo. If not interested in a run then we could do the original short trip to Serpentine dam as originally posted. Please let me know so I can plan accordingley this is a nice short to moderate run. Best Greyshadow

Hey fellow shadow riders. Hi Greyshadow. Either ride sounds great. I'm just finishing up the makeover on my bike. It won't be ready in time to do this one. Will be riding to Bright, Victoria for the SRA AGM but will be good for rides after that. I have asked a few people to watch the rides posted on the forum,

I'll be attending the meet and bleat , but as it'll be a 200+ k round trip from my home to the coffee and back anyway , an extra 300+ just doesn't ring my bell this time . If I wasn't riding 600+ a week every week already plus looking down the barrel of the Trans Nullarbor express for the AGM I'd probably be more into it . So , for me it's coffee , chat and home this time . Cheers Trog

Did one meet and bleet at Kings Park. haha also did the ride last weekend. The 4 of us had a great time, me, myself, I and my shadow. Like the idea of Canning Vale to serpentine and back. Let me know what the go is going to be. Will check back in Saturday.

Hey guys. I hope this weekends ride goes well for you all. I've been crook and bed ridden with a potentially serious infection but am coming right. A liitle down on strength but that cos I haven't eaten for a few days. Will catch up soon though. Take care all. And Phil great to have you along for another ride.

Hi All - Just back from our meet and bleet run to Serpentine dam. A great little ride with some good company. Topic for discussion - Perth to Esperance run on long weekend of 1,2 & 3 March. Following on from our talk today have spoken with my brother in Esperance who offers the following advise. Perth to Esperance via Albany is a 12 - 14 hour run. Perth to Albany = 5 hours and Albany to Esperance = 6 hours. That's without stops and refuelling stops hence the 12 -14 hours. A more direct route is Brookton Highway via Hyden and Ravensthorpe. All bitchium road but still 10 hours without stops. He has done the trip many times. Unfortunately no accomadation availiable but say's units in caravan parks availiable. A short guided tour on Sunday and sunday night dinner for all at his 5 acre property in Esperance. Quick stats on brother - a former Honda dealer in Kalgoorlie and led many tours of eastern goldfields area's including Esperance.
My thoughts are I want to enjoy this ride but don't fancy that long in the saddle. Maybe an Albany run might suit better this time.
Throw your thoughts up - The Prince

Hey Phil, Ok as we have never done a overnighter together then I agree lets to a shorter one for starters I'll give it some thought and put up a suggested run say Denmark as an example. I am going to do the Esperance Run myself any way because it's something I would like to do. The good thing is we are all keen to make something happen. Bye for now will post soon. PS thanks nice to see old faces. Enyoyed it. Best Greyshadow

G'day guys. Great to see the meet & bleats along with rides & ride talk is coming along so well. Although I haven't been posting in the WA section I have been following very closely as a couple of members know. Good to see the talk of the overnighters. May I suggest since it is still summer back home ( can't resist a cheap shot of Vic weather ) that u may consider a w/end with swags to add to the experience. On a seperate note. Who turns up to our events with out a phone. Hey guys they have CAMERAS in them. Take some stills , doesn't have to be vids. Also for those that may be interested I posted a vid of the great ocean road in the Vic section of our forums. Looking forward to catching up with troggs & George at the agm. Louie

Ok, here's a couple of shots taken on the day (just to shut Louie up). Good to meet Phil and catchup with Scrap and Greyshadow. And Scrap, glad to see you back on the Star mate. Great company, good short ride in perfect riding weather, lots of bleats and bullshit around the table - what more could you ask for (apart from naked dancing girls) (grumpy old) Men and their machines.. And introducing Phil... I had to use the soft focus on Greyshadow because I uhm had to. So what's the go with the overnighter gents? Are we still doing a Denmark (or thereabouts) run for the long weekend? Which is next weekend? Got those route options sorted out yet Scrap?
