Well my 250 Bruiser is male and called Barry. The gender and name just feels right for my bike. Now those of you who name your bikes - how do you decide on gender and a name. Give us some examples. Cas

Bike is called "The Gonz". My old nick name was Gonzo and I use BDRgonzo alot on the web. So me being BDR was only right to call bike "The Gonz".
Oh and it's a male bike... Wife would knacker me if she thought I was riding another woman.
Before the comments come out about me riding a bloke... it's a mateship, not a relationship.
Not that there is anything wrong with that...

Good example of our attachments to our bikes. I haven't given names to any of mine but I might give it some thought

I haven't named my bike but if I did it would have to be a female name. If only for the reason that my native language is French, and in French as with many other Germanic languages everything is either male or female, UNE moto (a bike), is female, UNE voiture (a car), is female, UN camion (a truck) is male UN avion (a plane) is male So motorbikes are Female
