Hi, just asking questions again lol. After reading about being able to keep up with others on rides etc just curious why a 250 wouldnt be able to. My intruder 250 sits on 130klm easily keeps up with 750, but as I am on bike L's in this state supposed to stick with 80. (But who would) And our speed limits go as high as 110. Whats the speed limit regulations in other states for learners/everyone?

NSW is 90 for L's & P's but on a freeway you're nothing but an accident waiting to happen at 90

They seem to (mostly) it's just the highway patrol who sit on the side of the road waiting to nab ya. RBT's are pretty good too, I've been waved through all so far

When did they restrict Learners to 80 in Victoria ? It's not the top speed so much but how Quickly you get there I will take you for a ride and show you if you like

Well its bloody lucky I havent been going that slow lol but I DO remember hearing that some states had restrictions but what my original question meant was....with regard to something Wendy witch spoke about her 250 not being able to keep up with the other riders. My intruder keeps up with the bigger bikes as long as they dont go over 130klms lol so was just curious about the power of other 250's....

All bikes are different Corky, as all riders are different. I know the first highway trip I did I was scared stupid the moment I hit 80 .. think I might have made 90 by the end of the trip. It was very different for my level of experience, and trust me the highways out here aren't nice at higher speeds. So with an older smaller bike doing over 90 could be taking your life into you own hands (seriously I thought I was going to be bounced over the handlebars the first few times) as well as just not feeling comfortable doing higher speeds. I'm only talking for myself here to Also I know that if Cray wanted to just take off ahead I'd have no chance of keeping up on the 400, I might get there eventually but it just doesn't have the pick up of a bigger bike. When I'm overtaking I almost feel like I want to put a foot down and give her a little push to get her started So combining all that, if you are with riders who are taking off fast and taking corners faster than you feel comfortable .. then yeah I can understand the statement of the 250 not being able to keep up.

My 250 is noisey so it sounds like tge engine is working way harder that it probably is. Full throttle at 90, and im a nervous nelly on corners.
My 600 however seems better suited to me and is a little quieter so I don't feel Im pushing her to hard.
