Is it a good idea to show the world that we are female, hidden as we are in all that leather and helmet? Or ride on letting the world assume we are mere males? I am thinking of safety here. Maybe it is better to look male on a bike? Just wondering. Seeing the pink bike brought that thought to mind. Your thoughts?

We all ride for a reason and thats about it. Back in the old days (yeah i know here he goes again ) ,girls ,ladies ,women nearly were always a passenger ,so i like seeing that they now enjoy the freedom of riding solo and upfront .Hell i hated and still do being a pillion. Just sayin and all. Cheers Ray

BTW, that bike resembles the one Pinky Tuscadero rode back in the 70's. As a hint for those who don't know...... her sister (Leather) was my childhood crush Suzi Quattro

Personally I want people to know I'm a woman .. but I hate the fact that every manufacturer out there for motorcylcing gear thinks that if you are a woman rider then you love pink. I searched for months for a helmet that wasn't just a design of skulls in pink, and I hate that most womens jackets have pink on them .. did see one with red flowers once that I liked. Dont see any reason why we cant look as cool as the blokes do on our bikes, and no reason why safe gear cant look sexy too (well cept for the shoulders like a line backs) I do like being a woman and would hate that people would mistake me for one. But above all we are all people who love to ride, whether it be up front or as a pillion doesn't really matter in my humble opinion.

Oh I just saw this. Pretty bike.
I gladly play the girl card to my own end.
I wear a bright pink vest and it keeps most other road users well away.
I don't usually get tailgaters and even when they do pass me, they do so correctly.
However when they get up Caspers rear its another story. Its like they want to run him through.

Pink vest on a girl...nice and you show respect. Pink vest on a man... pass at range, who the hell wants to tangle with a burly biker that confident about his sexuality. Now that's a 1% with attitude.

I like all colours BUT what annoys me is womens bike apparel is very limited in shape as well as colours. Not many cater for shorter women the bloody arms are for monkeys lol. I am a black when it comes to clothes, always have been, but i do like red or pink at times. As they say respect both male and female fellow riders
