Best option of all Dave. Sadly, I'm after a DIY option.

I pressure wash the bike with a little truck wash, rinse with rain water (Adelaide water leaves too many streaks) then wipe down with a shamy I have never polished the chrome in 2 years

I wiped down the beastie with a cloth today and she came up a treat but she is only a few weeks old, but I'd heard stories about Mr Sheen etc so thought I'd ask.

lemon pledge/armour all wipes before and after a long ride as smashed bug guts are acidic, as the war department found out on her crash bars or a quik blast and a chamois will keep the crud off also if you get caught in the rain as it's easier to remove when the bike is wet, my aero has got over 90 thou on the speedo and that's my routine and it still looks purty. I,d rather ride than clean and having an aero it always looks good even if I just clean the whitewalls.

I just keep it clean, if you don't let the grime build up it easy to keep it like new, mines 18 months old and still looks new with just soap and water. Cheers Azza

Cheap as chips sells car window cleaning tissues (bit stronger than tissue) - 50 sheets for $2. I don't use it on the windscreen of the bike but it is fantastic for the chrome.

FW1 cleaning wax is awesome. Spray it on, let it absorb the nasties for a couple of minutes then wipe and shine. All you have to do for the next month or so is wipe it down. Also excellent for visor water repellant. You see the young backpackers setting up in shopping centre carparks selling it....... It's not a rip off it does work BTW, if you have some minor rust...... leave it on for about an hour and a half then wipe the rust away.

I only use Mr Sheen. Have been using it for 15 yrs and my bike is still shiny and like new. Just spray it on in small sections, starting at the top, wait a couple of seconds then wipe it off.

I use this tried and true method.
Park bike next to my wife's bike when she is at home.
Sprinkle a little dust on her petrol tank.
Out she goes to clean hers. Looks at mine next to her shiney machine.
Bam, mine gets a clean.
