I'm a Mum of two kids called Search (Girl 14) & Destroy (Boy 11). Married but separated (Its complicated lol). Wanted to be a mechanic but got talked out of it by my Dad. I really enjoy working on cars and have taken part in a few mechanical challenges. Spent years in Admin work and ran a courier company in the freight forwarding industry, working with Customs and Quarantine. Always interesting going through other peoples stuff!. Then I decided that Uni would be fun. which it was I guess! Social Science - Counselling quals. Worked at a contact centre for separated parents. Then with child safety and now with Uniting Care as a family support worker. We get our referrals from child safety, so its still in the emotionally exhausting category. I enjoy it. Makes me appreciate my own family. My therapy is Cruisey. I really enjoy my 'me' time on the open roads. She keeps me from going psycho Bwhahahaha!! Cheers y'all. Interesting mix of cool cats on here by the sounds of it. You all sound like good company See you on another ride soon I just read what you do, and I take my hat off to you. A female mechanic would have been a great career, but I think fixing people may be just, if not more rewarding. We need more people like you. keep up the good work and hope to meet you one day and shake your hand in person. Cheers Paul

Well, I am currently a Principal of a primary school with 150 kids, having worked for the department for 40 years. I have also managed a dairy farm, driven taxis. trucks and buses, been a waiter etc. I am also a volunteer and life member with the country fire authority for the past 32 years, having served across Victoria and NSW. I also do some "consultancy" for the CFA, which involves going around to bushfire prone communities and talking about being prepared and what to expect and what they can do to help us help them. Once i retire from education i will go into this on a part-time basis. I am trying to find time to restore a 1935 Chevy Coupe in the mean time, but a Shadow keeps getting in my way.
Ride safe

This guys a recent import (22 months) from across the ditch. We moved the family from Christchurch to get away from our broken city and to get the kids away from the earthquakes. We've just built a house in Peregian Springs on the Sunshine Coast and are currently trying to landscape in between rain showers. I am an account manager for a company that sells a wall and roof system into the construction industry and spend a week month in Sydney if you NSW members ever feel like a catch up for a beer. I support the: Crusaders in the Super 15 All Blacks Warriors in the NRL Haven't made up my mind about an AFL team yet. I also been a dive instructor for over twenty years. I'm a broken down old builder with sore back and stuffed knee lol. Golf nut And I'm loving being back riding after a few years out of the saddle.. love my shadow and have enjoyed meeting the Queensland members of the SRA on the couple of rides I've been on so far.

My brother in law is a kiwi, and as I say to him. The sooner we get barbed wire and pill boxes on Bondi Beach the better.
