G'day
I'm definitely heading to Warrnambool Victoria in November for the 2wheel Babe Raid. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find cheap accommodation there somewhere without breaking the bank.
The event is going to be held at the Lady Bay Resort, but the accommodation is well out of my price range for 3 nights. If the accommodation is held in the next suburb that's fine.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Hubby is thinking of coming with me, but looking at other attractions whilst I attend Babe Raid only if we can find a doggy sitter.

There is a ship load of accommodation at the bool, your best bet is to go on one of the accommodation web sites and see what specials are avaliable for your time slot. Good luck.

Hi Deanne, I've used Booking.com a few times now to find accomodation. It's a pretty good site and most of the bookings dont require a deposit and dont incur a penalty if you cancel the booking up to 24 hrs before the date .. or that might be 48hrs. I had a quick search for Warnambool, listed by one bedroom cheapest first and came up with a few Check these outThank you Annastasia Beerfrog, doggy is a german shepherd who doesn't play well with others. She thinks she's a human not a dog. She has good days & bad days. She is going deaf and she is going blind and she's nearly 12 . She has her own pillows and the lounge is her bed. well the whole house is her bed. Shane, thank you for your help as well I've been to Victoria once in my life. I went to a place called Chelsea I think it was it. Another question is : is it better to go the highway from Sydney to Warrnambool or is better taking the coast road ?

Definitely take the coastal road. The sapphire coast is stunning. And then when you get into Victoria you travel through the Ninety mile beach area of Lakes Entrance, then and there is the Great Ocean Road. People travel from all over the world to drive/ride this magnificent road. You would regret not doing it!!

Hi Deanne, a group of 8 ladies from the Border and District Ride Group, (me included) are registered and booked for the event. We will all leave from Albury 9Inland route)and we currently have two six bed cabins booked at a holiday park 200mts from the event location. We are all sharing accommodation costs and at the moment we have 4 spare beds. Are you interested? If we fill two cabins it should be $68 each for two nights accommodation.

Hi Lyrebird Thank you so very much for your offer, but hubby is joining me as well. We are going via the coast road Hubby is going to be doing his own thing and Ill be doing mine. We have accommodation booked at The Raglan motor Inn just on the outskirts of town. I don't drink ( well not when I know I gotta ride ) so It's not a bother. We planned it out that we take 2 days to get to Warrnambool, then another 4 days to get back. We're staying the 3 nights Just wanting to see a bit of Victoria whilst we are both there. Again, thank you so very much I hope to get to meet you when we are all in the one place

Now just because some of us have a Y chromosome you are going to discriminate regarding cabin accommodation - I find that a little disappointing. I'm pretty sure that the XY group would not discriminate against a XX member sharing the cabin.
Cheers ... Mark

Well Langers all I can say is that some of us are leaving their XY partners at home and some are leaving their XX partners at home. It is an XX exclusive event if you know what I mean.

Well yeah it is exclusive. Lol. I was originally going to Ballina for the same event with the other half staying at home. I'm with lyrebird on this one With the exception that we are having a holiday as well as celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary and also a birthday.
