I ordered a genuine front screen for my 98 VT750 ACE about 3 weeks ago. Got a message that it arrived in Monday just passed (25/8). So, all excited that Jennifer was going to be fully clothed again, I went down on Thursday to collect it. After 10mins of them stuffing around not being able to find it, finally it appears. Now! even more excited, I asked to see the screen so that I didn't have to come back and say its the wrong one. So out it comes, the identical screen, after all, it is meant to be genuine. Can't wait to get it home, but, hang on, from the corner of my eye, I catch a glimps of the brackets. Sorry mate, that's not for my bike. Being told that's what I ordered, and telling him, look at your computer screen, it isn't, in comes John the owner. No worries Paul, you don't have to take it, you just need to pay a 15% restocking fee, says John. Why would I have to pay a fee for something I didn't order? I asked. He says, because I refuse to take the item. I want the one for my bike as it was. After 20mins of this I relented a little and said, lets have a look at how ugly it looks. Guess what? It doesn't. even fit my bike, its for an S not C. Anyone else may have paid there 15% and left it at that. That's bullshit A1 Check. your. orders before you try and put the heavy in people my next order may come from Frankston.

Hmmm, that's disappointing to say the least. A1 Honda, in particular John, offered 15% discount to SRA members for all spare parts and accessories. Thanks for the feedback Paul.

Hi George, Maybe someone from SRA should notify John and advise him that his poor service has been noted on social media and the incident is spreading to his potential customers, also advise that the forum has received a bad report regarding his business.

Lets just wait for act two. See if they come up with the goods and if not, whether he gives me my full deposit, which I gave in good faith. Supply what I order, happy to pay. Lets give them a chance to come good. Cheers

Sadly A1 have had more bad reviews and feedback than positive ones. If you google A1 Ringwood you will see some negative reviews and I have had another SRA member who unfortunately had a VERY negative experience with them. I have spoken to John recently and have tried to be diplomatic and provide positive feedback, however I may need to change my tact and be upfront with him. But as Paul said, wait and see if he gets a satisfactory result first.

Not sure what you mean. Both myself and the two sales assistance looked at the computer screen before ordering and agreed that was the one. When it arrived we looked at the screen again, and again agreed that the one on the computer was the one I wanted, but the one that arrived was not the one for the 'C' it was for an 'S' I know what I ordered.

One day when I have an hour and a half to spare, I'll write up my saga with A1. The broad picture is that I bought and paid for my VT750C4 in October 2013. It was to come with Vance & Hines pipes, windscreen, heated grips, sissy bar and rear rack, all of which I paid for in the price of the bike. It took me more than 4 months, numerous trips, broken promises and finally threats before I finally got all the parts supplied and fitted. Throw in a $300 fee for the 1,000 km first service. Does anyone want to ask me if I'm going back for the next service?

Basically cobber I'm taking the piss, you as the customer and a1 as the reputable dealer who has more credibility. You have put many a mile on the tarmac with your trusty steed some you have even shared with me (thanks big fella). A1 so called reputable dealer who looks after what his customers have ordered and know what they need/want and to be treated like a noob is insulting I agree with you a 150%.After all if it isn't on the parts order technicians microfiche screen it does not exist, and considering you have double checked the screen with the dealer/counterperson you have a solid ground for accountability, I know your pain cobber i've been there myself mate. if I may be blunt like a besser brick phuck em and the horse they rode in on and fight for the CORRECT part you ordered/wanted in good faith and have handed over your hard earned for mate.

Hi Everyone, Yes of course we will help puffy275 as it appears this is a genuine HONDA "blue" as although the screen and bracket kit listed as a VT750C is actually for the S version. As for placid we are at fault and my humblest appologies. The parts were on order , lost, then wrong parts were ordered. Long story short the spares manager responsible is no longer in our employ. Placid was a gem of a person to deal with I am sorry we let him down. Next service for Placid will be FREE OF CHARGE should he wish to contact me. 9870 2222 A1 Motorcycles

I hope your spare parts interpreter didn't lose his job over my screen, for I would feel pretty shit about that. As for everything else, looking forward to it getting sorted. Thanks.
