As many of you would be aware, the Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island is less than 3 weeks away. Are many Shadow riders heading to the track and camping over one or more nights? Is this the sort of event where Shadow riders catch up or is it more the sort place where close riding friends catch up or head to together? I'm asking because I got better than a luke warm reception to the idea of riding over, hence was thinking that I might do it to cross off another bucket list item. Interested to hear what happens.
Cheers ... Mark

over the years there have been the odd few SRA riders go on their own but thats about it, not my thing sorry. Be warned if you do go, the Police over that side of town are going to crack down on riders & their bikes. ( it's for our own safety apparently )

Thanks Shane. I don't patch, tend not to speed, no tatts, old fart, grey hair (where there is hair) and the exhaust is way too quiet - I should be right, but I'll behave anyway as I'll have SA plates and be a target in any case.
Cheers .... Mark

Hidden cameras is hardly playing the game and I used up my past good driving record earlier in the year to get out the fine coming back from the AGM - I'm going to have to be REAL good. I'll ride safe - 22 school kids - you stay sane.
Cheers ... Mark

Have reconsidered my plans. The mate I was heading over with was only interested in Grand stand or Hospitality suite (he's been multiple times so I can't blame him), both of which are way out of my price range when the idea was to visit for the first time and just take in the experience. Perhaps next year with a bit more planning. Cheers ... Mark
