Its all in the eyes of the beholder, what you want is fine if it fits you. Simon has your lday tried the VT400?, Pams 5'2" and fit her like a glove, ballance is great I throw it around easily and Pams only brand new to Road Bikes. Going to give it a look in when she's ready to upgrade.

Simon is right, i have considered upgrading to the 1800 but it is too high, and the weight would be a problem for my 5' 3'' frame and little legs. so adjusting what i have is the best way to go for me. The only thing i sometimes wish for is a bigger tank which is in direct opposition for my need for pegs that are further back, G'day Jayne! Have you thought about something a little bigger like the VT1100, XVS1100, XVS950 or VTX1300? One of our suppliers does touring tanks. These are an auxillary tank that fits on a standard luggage rack and will give you an extra 5.5L, 9.4L, 13.2L, 15L or 18.9L. So you could go and go and go and go and gooooooooo
