different states have different names for some things, eg suitcase here in SA, is I believe a port in QLD? and bathers here, cossies in WA
Here we have the tern road lice, for the licra clad 2 wheelers who hold up traffic as the attempt to pedal uphills especially on narrow country roads
Today I had to go to Stirling for a doctors appointment and with the TDU in progress, there has been an influx of licra clad TDU wannbee road lice from all over the world.
Not content with coming to our beautiful state to SEE the TDU, the mongrels have to bring their bikes with them and attempt the tracks that their heroes will be going over in the next week or so.
Three times today as I was going to and back from Stirling, traffic came to a crawl as we were on a windy road, double white lines and a "peleton" of road lice were heaving their arses up hill with the speed of a lame turtle.
One group were very thoughtful and were waving traffic past them, though be it on blind corners where, had we taken the chance, we could have met a truck coming the other way.
I came home and contemplated fitting a bullbar to the bike, but it wouldn't help
might make me feel better though
