We had a nice warm day in Canberra two weeks ago - I hopped on my bike and got out of town. I went as far north as Moranbah in Central Queensland, which was a little too warm at 33 degrees so I came back via Brisbane, I decided I don't like motorways after going past the Sunshine Coast and into Brisbane. Mt Tambourine was a nice ride and from there I went through Goondiwindi, Moree, Dubbo and back to Canberra. 1600Km going north and 2100Km returning. My '97 VT750C2 didn't miss a beat - but the wind at sustained high speed riding was a real annoyance. I'll have to get a windscreen before the next long ride - can anyone recommend a good one for my bike? Is big better or are the little "deflector" types sufficient?

Warm day in Canberra .What was it 10deg. .Got a lad doing uni there. Screens are a ficalty thing mate. Some like them like myself and some dont. Most set the hieght from eye level to about 10 mt looking at the road in front. This should elimanate some head buffeting. Too low and you will get it . Too high and you may have trouble looking through it in rain or fog. A good thing to buy with it is LOWERS. A small deflector out from the forks . This stops buffeting coming up from below . Nees a reasonable width ad well. If you end up with one to high it can be cut down quite successfully . I can find the link if needed. Depending on yourheight you would need around 21 in screen if your around 6 ft. National cycle in USA have a good selection. Can get after market ones anywhere in Oz which work good .I had one for 4 yrs before i got my NC. They attach to the handlebars. Just look at other bikes and you will get a good idea. Honda are way to dear for them.

Hey Ray - any idea where I'd buy 'Lowers" - Eagle Screens, where I bought the screen from don't supply them. Or it something I can make? Can you post a picture?

National cycle over seas sells them .Iff you had a mate in the sheetmetal trade he,d be able to do something up. Reckon you could bracket them from the light bar even

National cycle is where I bought my screen from, they are prompt, I got my screen in one piece and it was packaged well, and when I had questions about the screen afterwards they also were prompt in answering and knew what they were talking about. I'd recommend them and will buy from them again when I get around to mods on Huck. Here's a link to the lowers they have www.nationalcycle.com/n763a.html
