I think a lot of the examples given often happen if only for a second or 2 and there is nothing that can be done about it, we do not choose to put ourselves in these situations, it is just the way it happens with the amount of traffic these days, when we notice we are in such a position we move or cover the brake, just in case I usually ride behind a car in track with the drivers rear view mirror, it's a little close to the centre of the road but I can see the oncoming traffic and they can see me also the driver in front of me has my headlight in his mirror
