Hey guys n gals. So iv just purchased my vance n hines short shot pipes from a fellow member. Very excited. But i was lookin at the originals and i noticed somthing, what looks similar to a spark plug with a wire coming from it, coming from the exhuast behind the pavilion foot peg. What is this? When i change pipes will disconecting this cause dramas?
Also...at 6'3" i have have rather long legs, and am a touch uncomfortable riding with the stock pegs. I was thinking of puting sum forward controlls on her. Any thoughts, ideas of were to get a set. Is it a job i can do i should i get a Profesional to sort it out. Cheers guys and happy riding

The spark thing is actually your O2 sensor. Used on fuel injected models. Some use eliminators, but I went with some bungs (nuts) welded onto my pipes to take the sensors. As for forward controls, I went that direction and loved them. Check YouTube for install vids and decide if you can do yourself. I went a little further. Modified break and gear pedals to take aftermarket shifter pegs. These matched my pegs that I had fitted. hondashadowriders.proboards.com/thread/4298/update-on-rideShows what I did.

Put 4in forwards on myself and not much bother at all. Go either way with the o2 sensors . Eliminators dont cost much to buy and plug in .Whereas getting bungs welded in requires a good welder ,usually a tig i suspect. Gonz will be able to tellyou on that. Hopefully you should nt have to remap but is a possibility. The puter in thexEfi models will adjust it self after time .

I put 4" on myself and if I can do it anyone can. There is a Youtube demo that you can follow. My only recommendation is with your height go for the 6" - I'm 6'1" and now wished I'd gone for the 6" Here is the link to the 6" forward controls from the same crowd I got the 4" ones (Scootmods - mind you, our Dollar looked a bit better then): www.scootmods.net/product.php?id=24Cheers ...
