Hi folks I quite enjoy the longer rides - up around 600km but I find towards the last hour or two my right foot will occasionally slip to the right and off the foot peg. This can be quite disconcerting let me assure you.
My set up is 4 inch forward controls, standard Honda foot pegs (metal with rubber sleeve and chromed end). I'm assuming because of the fair sized air cleaner pushing the right leg out to the right, when my right leg gets a bit tired it slides out to the right. I ride with a Rossi rubber sole m/c boot
I don't really want to go to the expense of floor boards.
Has anyone experienced anything like this and if so what was your fix - or am I just a freak of nature?? (now there's a leading question)
Thanks ... Mark

Hi Langers.Yes used to have same prob .L ok e you i have 4in ext pegs .Went to floorboards and made a big difference .Mine arent that big .But you can move your feet around a bit on them iff they do get tired. I took awhile getting used to them id admit but rather them now than the .OEM pegs. Just renewed them for the trip .Somehow they were disappearing around the edges a tab or too. Lol. Kakahealthcare motor bike section have pairs front and rear for about 120 i think .Cheap alternative to try them out . Cheers Ray .

Thanks Ray Yes I was looking at the Kakahealthcare floorboards but I was concerned they might not flex up when I lean the bike over (just don't look at the chicken strips on the tyres) or come to the roundabouts with the high sides. Are you using the Kaka's or have you lashed out for the Kuryakyn's or something similar? Cheers ... Mark

Nah, I'm no sports riding nutter. I have a great mistrust of our crappy road surfaces and take all corners with a healthy dose of caution. :-)
